I’ll warn you now. If you book a session or wedding with me, you will probably hear me say the word “cute” about 827 times. (Senior guys – I will substitute the word “cool” for your sessions.)

I want you to leave a session feeling good about yourself and more importantly – feeling blessed. My favorite thing about photography is the ability to capture a memory and look back on it with great joy and thankfulness. I love real moments. Most of my sessions involve a good amount of the happy, posed smiles that you love to send to Grandma for her fridge, but I try to mix in as much of the genuine as I can…I’ll undoubtedly tell you corny jokes and try to make you laugh so I can capture those real moments. And if you bring me your crazy, cute children, I will make silly noises and faces to get real moments from them too. ;)

A typical CaitPhoto session gives you up to 90 minutes of shooting time. Depending on outfits, locations, and the number of people, we can sometimes knock them out in 30 minutes. Within 2-4 weeks of your session, you will receive a link to a password-protected gallery where you can view your photos and share with family and friends. You’ll receive a download link and print release as well, allowing you to print photos for personal use anywhere and anytime you’d like. You can also order through your online gallery for professional quality.

Wedding photos are stored on a flash drive with your print release and shipped within 4-8 weeks, depending on the time of year. I’ll post several previews on Facebook to hold you over until the big reveal is ready. ;)

Here are a few other questions I often get asked…feel free to email me if you have any others!

Q: Can I bring more than one outfit? A: Yes! Just be prepared to change in the car if we’re shooting in the middle of nowhere. ;)

Q: Do you photoshop blemishes? A: Yes, every edited picture is retouched mildly to remove acne, stray hairs, and anything you can’t control. Additional retouching can be done to final pictures for a small fee. (Email for a custom quote.) My editing style is very natural, and I promise I won’t make you look like a porcelain doll.

Q: What days do you shoot/work? A: Starting in 2017, I’ll only be shooting on Saturdays and other specifically announced days. I will answer emails and edit most days, but I also have a part-time job at my parents’ ministry, so bear with me and know I will get back to you within a week or two at the most! Confession: I hate phone calls. Email is the best way to get in touch with me. ;)

Q: Can I put up my pictures on Facebook? A: Yep! I suggest choosing the “high quality” option when uploading.

Q: How far ahead should I book? A: I suggest emailing me two to three months in advance for portrait sessions. Summer, Christmas seasons, and Saturdays fill up especially quickly, so email earlier if you need a specific date. For weddings, email me as soon as you have a date! I book up to 14 months out, and I take a very limited amount of weddings per year.

Q: How do I pay for my session? A: You can pay in full the day of the session with cash or check made out to Caitlin Boswell. If you’d like to use a credit card, let me know, and I’ll set up an invoice for you. Credit card payment is due a week before the session.

Q: How do I book a shoot or wedding? A: Send me an email! It’s the fastest and easiest way to get in touch with me. Every now and then, emails sneak into my Spam folder, so email me again if you don’t hear back within a week or two.
